Our program pairs the two major accompanied choral masterpieces of Francis Poulenc, his 1951 Stabat Mater and 1959 Gloria. Enjoy Poulenc's unique sound, blending the seemingly disparate sounds of Stravinsky, Gregorian Chant, and Renaissance polyphony with those of French folksong and the Parisian dance-hall. Organist Mark Laubach, assisted by other instrumentalists, will accompany.
